Broome International Airport, the largest Regional Airport in Australia, serves Broome and the Kimberley, and is the Gateway to the Region. The airport serves a mixture of scheduled jet and turboprop passenger services (RPT), extensive General Aviation and Charter services, Helicopter Operations and Coastwatch.
The airport is the service base of a number of significant Kimberley Industries. These industries include Tourism, Mining, Off shore Oil and Gas and the Pearling industries. Existing statistics show for the financial year 2007/08, Broome International Airport handled a total of 380,000 Passengers with a total of 33,610 Aircraft movements. |
